Academics
Yes. MilikiHub fully supports Kenya's Competency Based Curriculum (CBC), including CBC Senior School, alongside other curricula used in the country. Schools running CBC can manage students, attendance, and fees the same way as any other curriculum type on the platform.
Yes. MilikiHub isn't built for one curriculum only — schools running 8-4-4, CBC, CBC Senior School, or the British curriculum are all supported on the same platform. You choose your curriculum type when setting up your school, and the system adapts around it rather than forcing a single structure on every school.
Teachers mark attendance for their class directly in MilikiHub each day, and the system keeps a running record per student that administrators can review, filter, and export at any time. This replaces the paper attendance register and removes the risk of records being lost, damaged, or miscounted at term end.
Yes. Teachers can post homework assignments to their class through MilikiHub, and students or parents can see what's due and when. Submissions and grading status are tracked in the system, so teachers aren't relying on a paper notebook to know who has and hasn't turned work in.
Fees & Billing
MilikiHub records fee payments made via M-Pesa automatically, matching each transaction to the right student and updating their balance in real time. Administrators can see exactly how much has been collected and how much remains outstanding, without manually reconciling M-Pesa statements against a paper ledger.
Getting Started
MilikiHub is a school management platform built for Kenyan schools, covering fee collection, attendance, homework, and student records in one system. It replaces paper registers, exercise-book ledgers, and scattered spreadsheets with a single dashboard administrators, teachers, and parents can all use.
A school administrator signs up, selects their curriculum type, and adds their students, staff, and fee structure to begin using MilikiHub.
No. MilikiHub runs in a web browser, so administrators, teachers, and parents can access it from a phone, tablet, or computer without downloading or installing anything. As long as there's an internet connection, the dashboard works the same across devices.
Yes — that's the core problem MilikiHub is built to solve. Paper registers can be lost, damaged, or miscounted, and Excel sheets scattered across different staff members' computers fall out of sync easily. MilikiHub centralizes attendance, fees, and student records in one place that every authorized staff member sees the same, current version of.
Parent Communication
Yes. Parents with access to MilikiHub can view their child's fee balance, payment history, and attendance record directly, instead of having to call or visit the school office for an update. This cuts down on the back-and-forth phone calls schools typically field during fee-collection season.
MilikiHub currently sends email notifications to parents and staff, including account and password-reset messages, with more transactional email types planned. SMS notifications are not currently supported — schools relying on SMS for parent communication should confirm this fits their needs before switching over.
Pricing & Plans
MilikiHub is free for schools with up to 50 students. Beyond that, plans start at KES 6,000/month for up to 800 students, KES 15,000/month for up to 2,500 students, and KES 28,000/month for up to 15,000 students, with custom pricing for larger school networks. New schools also get their first three monthly charges at an automatic 20% discount once they move onto a paid plan.
MilikiHub doesn't use a time-limited trial. Schools with up to 50 students use the full platform for free, indefinitely, with no credit card required and no countdown. You only start paying once your school grows past 50 active students, so there's no risk of losing access mid-trial while you're still getting set up.
Security
MilikiHub is a cloud-based system with role-based access, meaning staff only see the information relevant to their role — a teacher doesn't see another class's fee records, for example. All connections to the platform are encrypted in transit.
